Daybreak Obesity and Hunger Clinical Trial
Do you feel as if you are always hungry? Are you constantly snacking, thinking about your next meal, or eating large amounts that other people around you aren’t? You may have a genetic issue that is playing into your insatiable hunger, and DAYBREAK is looking to do something about it. If you have insatiable hunger and obesity runs in your family, you may be perfect for this study. Keep reading to learn more about the Obesity and Hunger Clinical Trial and how to sign up as a participant.
Do You Have Insatiable Hunger?
If you have an insatiable appetite that is difficult to satisfy and it has led you to experience obesity, you may be suffering from a genetic disorder. An increase in hunger is a normal bodily response to situations like fasting or strenuous exercise. However, intense, insatiable hunger is often a sign of a health condition that needs medical treatment, such as diabetes.
Individuals who experience insatiable hunger may also be suffering from:
- Undiagnosed or undertreated diabetes
- Other hormone-related conditions
- Mental health conditions
- Rare medical conditions
Ready to Try Something New?
Struggling with your weight while also battling a genetic issue that prevents you from losing any weight can be a difficult challenge. Luckily, DAYBREAK is studying how safe an investigational medication is and whether it works for people with rare forms of obesity.
Insatiable hunger is a symptom of changes, or variants, in one or more of your genes that play a role in how hungry you feel and how much energy you use throughout the day. The investigational medication being studied in this clinical trial has the potential to restore the body’s ability to control weight with these genetic variants.
