What Is The Paid Type 2 Diabetes Clinical Study?

Clinical trials are a type of research that studies new tests and treatments and evaluates their effects on human health outcomes. People volunteer to participate in clinical trials to test medical interventions, including drugs, cells, and other biological products, surgical procedures, radiological procedures, devices, behavioral treatments, and preventive care.

In this particular clinical trial, InQuest Medical Research is helping to discover a new form of Metformin. While Metformin is a common way to treat type 2 diabetes, it is often not prescribed to those who have advanced chronic kidney disease. This is thought to be because Metformin is absorbed in the stomach.

This study is investigating a new formulation of metformin called Metformin Delayed Release (DR), which is absorbed in the small intestine instead, and whether this new form of Metformin can help reduce systemic exposure, leading to fewer side effects for patients with both type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
